The Professional Pricing Society (PPS), the world’s largest pricing, revenue management, and sales enablement member organization, today announced the appointment of Joshua Bardell, Principal, Global Industries at Conga, to its Board of Advisors. The appointment reinforces PPS’s focus on helping organizations translate pricing strategy into measurable business impact.
Pricing has entered a new era, where strategy is no longer a differentiator. Frameworks, segmentation models and cost-plus pricing and value-based studies have all proven to be useful but have also become increasingly insufficient. In a market defined by volatility, rapid shifts in demand and constant competitive pressure, organizations are being pushed to respond with greater speed and precision to protect margin and maintain advantage. As investment shifts toward AI-driven pricing, real-time optimization and customer lifetime value models, the gap is no longer in strategy. It is in the ability to execute quickly, consistently and at scale.
Bardell has spent more than two decades at the center of this shift. Working with hundreds of large and mid-market enterprises, first at PROS and now at Conga, which acquired PROS B2B business in February 2025, he has helped organizations move beyond pricing as a functional exercise and operationalize it as a true commercial lever. His work spans pricing transformation, revenue optimization and complex technology implementations that turn strategy into measurable outcomes.
“Joshua understands where pricing is headed,” said Kevin Mitchell, President of the Professional Pricing Society. “He has spent his career embedded with the teams responsible for making pricing decisions work in practice. His ability to connect strategy, technology and execution will help organizations move from theory to real results.”
The appointment comes as pricing moves to the center of business performance, driven by rapid advances in AI, increasing data complexity and rising expectations for real-time decision-making. Many organizations investing in new pricing capabilities are struggling to translate them into consistent results. Bardell’s experience helping enterprises operationalize pricing in complex environments strengthens PPS’ ability to equip its global community with practical, forward-looking guidance.
“The pricing professionals who will win in this market are the ones who stop treating AI as a future consideration and start treating it as a present necessity,” Bardell said. “Every day without smarter, faster pricing capabilities is a day your competition gains ground. What excites me about PPS is that it brings together practitioners who are actively solving these challenges. I want to help this community move faster.”
As a member of the Board of Advisors, Bardell will support PPS in shaping its strategic direction, expanding its global reach and equipping pricing professionals with the tools and perspective needed to lead in an increasingly AI-driven commercial landscape.
